The Smith Deck (After)

I removed all the interlock under the new deck plan to be re-installed for a new seating area. I chose to incorporate two levels, one for morning coffee and barbecuing, the other for dining and the hot tub (which was to be sunk into the deck floor). I utilized the 45 degree angled wall to create a quirky staircase between levels that saved immense amounts of space, and added a funky privacy screen with a decorative beam to create a private “nook”.

The Result? Full views, privacy, full light infiltration into the house, no wasted stone, and all requested needs met with a funky look. Mission accomplished!
